wood working, fine furniture, boats, fishing nets, turnings

My furniture is made of the highest quality wood.  I find the majority of my materials from local sources, small mills, old “barn” stashes, and some I haul myself to a local sawyer.  Metals often find their way into my pieces.  The hardness and color lend a pleasing contrast to soft warmth of the wood.  I enjoy the use of traditional hand tools to shape and smooth wood.  I find the contrast between a traditional approach to woodworking with a contemporary design aesthetic as interesting as the play between metal and wood.
